## Define the product around its users.

### Activation

Map discovery, onboarding and the primary workflow that makes the product useful.

### Account boundaries

Define identity, roles, data isolation and audit requirements across tenants.

### Commercial rules

Connect subscriptions, billing, entitlements and usage to the actions a customer can take.

## An invite needs permission and a seat.

## Make the product operable after launch.

### Connect

APIs and webhooks join the application to existing business systems.

### Measure

Analytics, dashboards and usage tracking show where customers need help.

### Release

Feature flags, observability and support workflows make changes manageable.

## The detail behind delivery.

###

Delivery stages

1. #### Operational request

A user or system submits a request with role and record context.

2. #### Rules and workflow

Business rules route the request through the correct operational path.

3. #### System integration

Connected services exchange only the data required for the operation.

4. #### Controlled action

The approved change is written to the relevant system of record.

5. #### Audit and monitoring

The operation is logged and its health remains visible to the team.

###

Scope dependencies and operating risks

#### Delivery depends on

- Workflow and role definition
- Existing-system and data access
- QA, migration and deployment constraints

#### Review before release

- Role or data access beyond intended boundaries
- Integration and migration failures
- Release changes without rollback or monitoring

## A few practical questions.

###

What should the first SaaS MVP include, and what can wait?

Start with one useful customer journey and the minimum onboarding, roles, data boundaries and integrations needed to complete it. Include billing or subscription handling when the first release needs to sell access, plus acceptance checks, deployment and an operating handover. Advanced reporting, extra user segments, complex plan variations and secondary integrations can wait when they do not test the main product assumption. Record deferred features explicitly. MVP scope can be narrow without leaving necessary access controls, error handling or support responsibilities undefined.

###

What does Daphnis need before starting SaaS Development?

Useful starting inputs include current workflow, user roles, data, integrations, migration needs and deployment constraints.

###

Can SaaS Development work with existing systems?

Yes. Existing products, data stores, APIs and operating tools are mapped first so useful systems can remain in place.

###

How is quality controlled in SaaS Development?

Quality is protected through explicit acceptance criteria, review gates, deterministic tests where required, observability and accountable release decisions.

###

What affects the SaaS Development timeline?

Timeline depends on scope, integration access, content or data readiness, stakeholder review speed and production release constraints.

###

What happens after SaaS Development launches?

The handover includes operating knowledge, monitoring expectations and a prioritised improvement path based on real usage and system evidence.

###

What determines the price of a SaaS build, and which operating costs are separate?

The build price depends on the primary workflow, tenant and role model, integrations, billing rules, migration and testing required for the first release. Existing code and design readiness also affect the work. Agree what is included, what is deferred and who handles launch responsibilities before estimating. Hosting, databases, email, payment processing, other third-party services and ongoing monitoring or support are operating costs unless the proposal explicitly includes them. Forecast those separately against expected customer activity and agree how later product changes will be scoped.

###

How will you separate each customer's data and user permissions?

Tenant boundaries and permissions are defined from the account model, data sensitivity and contractual requirements. A shared database with tenant-scoped access, separate schemas or separate databases may suit different products; none is assumed for every build. Server-side checks should verify both the customer account and the user's allowed actions, including in background jobs, file access, exports and integrations. Test attempts to cross those boundaries, as well as normal use. Administrative access, audit records and account closure or data export are agreed as part of the scope.

###

How would subscriptions, seats and usage limits work in our product?

Start with the commercial rules: what each plan permits, who counts as a seat, how usage is measured and what happens at a limit. The application then checks those entitlements when users act, alongside their role permissions. Scope the lifecycle explicitly, including trials, upgrades, downgrades, failed payments, cancellations and any grace periods. Billing events need reliable processing so duplicate or delayed updates do not grant or remove access incorrectly. The payment provider, usage tracking and enforcement approach depend on the product; not every SaaS needs all billing models.
