### Read this example

Accept a shipment under the agreed endorsement policy.

1. **Receiver proposes a receipt.** The proposal identifies the shipment and receiving organisation. _Proposal created._
2. **Endorsements checked.** The configured policy requires both carrier and receiver endorsement. _Policy evaluated._
3. **Receipt committed.** The endorsed update enters the shared ledger; private terms remain restricted. _Both endorsements present._

The receipt is committed only after the example’s endorsement policy is satisfied.

## How We Deliver

1. **Govern**

Define organisations, decisions, membership changes and operating ownership.

2. **Identity**

Map certificates, roles, channels, collections and data retention.

3. **Network**

Specify peers, orderers, policies, resilience and environment boundaries.

4. **Build**

Implement business state, gateway services, events and external integrations.

5. **Operate**

Exercise member changes, failures and upgrades before governed release.

## FAQs

### When is Hyperledger Fabric Development a good fit?

It fits known organisations that need shared workflows, controlled membership and selective data visibility without relying on one party's database.

### Which technical decisions matter first?

Consortium governance, certificate ownership, endorsement policies, channel or collection design and deployment ownership come first.

### Can it connect to our existing systems?

Yes. Fabric Gateway services can connect ERP, identity, document and reporting systems while preserving permission and transaction boundaries.

### How is the work tested?

Chaincode, endorsement, member permissions, private-data dissemination, certificate changes and network failure behaviour are tested.

### What do you need before starting?

We need the organisations, shared workflow, confidentiality rules, expected transactions, identity sources and governance contacts.

### What affects the delivery timeline?

The number of member organisations, governance alignment, identity integration, topology, chaincode scope and deployment environments drive delivery.

### What boundaries should we agree before delivery?

Fabric is treated as a multi-organisation operating system, not a public-chain substitute; governance decisions stay with consortium owners. Member identities use least-authority roles. Private data matches real confidentiality boundaries. Chaincode and network changes follow agreed governance.

## Bring your consortium together.
